Has anyone had their Thyroid taken out?

I just had my thyroid out,amonth ago i stayed in the hos 3 days. Its not a pleasent surgery.my voice is just now coming back!!! but the surgery was a blessing,they found a small spot of cancer.im fine now. im very emotional and sleepy all the time,but i trust my doctor to get me on the right dosage of synthroid.take care and good luck
