What to do about smelly co worker?

i work with a guy who has the worst body odor ever he literally smells like a bag of trash every single day!he even gos around farting carlessly like no one can smell it,i myself try to keep my distance as much as possible but other people talk about him when hes not even that far away t i thought that mabey it would make him want to clean up his act but nothings changed is there any nice way to help this guy without hurting his feelings
