Did Joseph Goebbles (Nazi propaganda minister) DELIBERATELY try to "Con" many people in Germany?

Goebbels was a Nazi fanatic follower of Hitler and also a lawyer (not a movie director).He didn;t fake the murder of his wife and his six children and he committed suicide since when Hitler died his world was over.
