Why people wanted to predict the end of the world?

This is not the first time we have heard about the end of the world.Why is it difficult to understand what Jesus said, "That day no one knows only the Father" What I cannot understand is the fact that Jesus clearly explained that even himself do not know the time and the date all these things to happen. Yet people are using their so call mere intelligence to calculate the date and the time of the End of the World.Year after year most cults made a reputation in predicting the end of the world. The year 2000 ws even scary when people thought that all technology will be black out and all electronic systems will fail.We are now in the year 2011 starting another digit and wrong again the world is still OK. Now once again various versions are based upon the Da Vinci Code theory concerning the end of the World.Others are calculated out of their own biblical interpretation based of the 7th day of God's Creation.If Jesus' words are not clear maybe the words of Samuel should make us aware that " God do not think like us human" Or the words of Psalm " Who sits in the same council with God?" No one and I mean No one can even get closer to what God has installed for us. What do I believe? I believe that God loved us so much that he gave His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to die on our behalf. What is that for us? Accept Jesus in your heart, allow Jesus to be Lord of our lives then the end of the world is actually something we anticipate with joy and happiness. As we all pray in our Lord's Prayer " Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven..."

i work with a guy who has the worst body odor ever he literally smells like a bag of trash every single day!he even gos around farting carlessly like no one can smell it,i myself try to keep my distance as much as possible but other people talk about him when hes not even that far away t i thought that mabey it would make him want to clean up his act but nothings changed is there any nice way to help this guy without hurting his feelings
